Delegation from University at Albany, State University of New York visited our university

On October 17th, a delegation led by Gilbert A. Valverde ,Vice President of University at Albany, State University of New York UAlbany)vistied NCUT. Wang Jianwen, Vice President of our university,met with them at room 322 of Dunpin Building.



Wang Jianwen warmly welcomed  Gilbert A. Valverde and his delegation, and introduced the history of our university, the development of academic disciplines, and the progress of internationalization. He reviewed the cooperation and exchanges between our two universities since we became sister institutions in 2017, and shared the experiences and achievements in areas such as Sino-foreign cooperative education, interdisciplinary construction, and practical teaching. He expressed the hope to expand academic exchanges to disciplines such as electronics, electrical engineering, information technology, and artificial intelligence, and discussed the feasibility of cooperation in graduate education, aiming to establish a broad international academic exchange platform for our faculty and students.

Gilbert A. Valverde introduced the geographic advantages and academic programs of UAlbany and discussed in depth the characteristics and cooperation potential in disciplines that align well with our university, with a particular focus on the education philosophy and industry influence of the School of Business and the College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering. He expressed the desire to deepen inter-school cooperation in fields such as business administration, information technology, and nanotechnology, promote two-way exchanges between faculty and students, strengthen academic collaboration, and continuously enhance the international education level of both institutions.

During their visit, the delegation toured the historical exhibition hall to gain a deeper understanding of NCUT's history, characteristics, and campus culture.

University at Albany, State University of New York, also known as UAlbany, is located in Albany, the capital city of New York State.
