On September 22nd, Jin Weiwei, Assistant to the President and Director of the Asia Center at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan, along with his team, visited NCUT. Wang Jianwen, Vice President of NCUT welcomed the guests and further exchanged opinions on specific cooperation programs.
Wang Jianwen warmly welcomed Jin Weiwei and his team to our university. Based on the already established cooperation intentions, he suggested gradually restoring the scale of long and short-term student exchanges between the two universities. He also proposed expanding the enrollment scope of the dual degree program by leveraging the advantages of Kansai Gaidai University's platform. Wang Jianwen emphasized the importance of developing both regular and new programs simultaneously to provide more opportunities and platforms for faculty and student exchanges between the two universities. Jin Weiwei responded positively to the proposal to deepen and broaden the cooperation between the two universities and provided detailed information on Kansai Gaidai University 's recent plans to send exchange students, short-term students, and visiting teachers to our university. The two parties also reached consensus on signing a new exchange agreement.
After the meeting, Professor Jin Weiwei was invited to give an academic lecture titled “Understanding Culture through Language.”The attendees actively participated and the atmosphere was lively. In addition, Kansai Gaidai University held an online program briefing session where Kayoko Ochi, Deputy Director of the International Education Center, provided detailed information about the university's profile, international coexistence programs, admission requirements,costs of studying abroad , accommodation , and answered questions from our faculty and students.
The representatives from Kansai Gaidai University Asia Center who visited with Jin Weiwei included Vice Director Kitazoe Ryu, Project Director Aoki Yui, and Project Director Liu Jingru.
