On May 16, Azimov Shavkat, Vice President of Tashkent State Technical University, Uzbekistan, visited our university to implement cooperation between the two universities for 2025-2026. Our Vice President Wang Jianwen held the meeting with the guests in Conference Room 302 of the Dunpin Building.

Wang Jianwen warmly welcomed Vice President Azimov Shavkat and his delegation to the university. Building on the existing cooperation between the two sides, he further proposed the following collaborative initiatives: this autumn semester, the university will continue to invite faculty and PhD students from Tashkent State Technical University for two-month research exchanges and academic collaboration; jointly apply for the 2+2 dual-degree program with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan; and plan to establish a student internship and training base in Tashkent with partner Uzbek universities including Tashkent State Technical University and Chinese enterprises operating there. Vice President Azimov Shavkat acknowledged the practical results achieved through the existing cooperation and emphasized Tashkent State Technical University's strong commitment to collaborating with our university. He pledged to actively leverage the university's influence in Uzbekistan to support the partnership and implement specific projects based on the compatibility of academic disciplines across departments. The cooperation between the two universities provides a platform for academic collaboration and exchange for faculty and students, advancing our university's educational cooperation with Uzbekistan in a substantive manner, which will further enhance the university's reputation and international influence.

During the meeting, the two universities signed the "2025-2026 Cooperation Plan" to outline their annual collaborative agenda. Other representatives from Tashkent State Technical University who accompanied the visit included Rovshanov Sultonbek, assistant of the Vice President, and Ye Junjie, Project Manager of the International Cooperation Department.
