Deakin University Vice-Chancellor David Halliwell And His Delegation Visit NCUT

On May 22, a delegation led by David Halliwell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University, Australia, visited our university for academic exchanges. Vice President Wang Jianwen held the meeting with the guests in Conference Room 302 of the Dunpin Building.

 

Vice President Wang Jianwen warmly welcomed Vice Chancellor David Halliwell and his delegation. He stated that Deakin University has always been an important international partner of our university, and the two universities have a solid foundation for exchange and cooperation. This discussion focused on deepening collaboration, including the establishment of 4+0 program, joint master's degree training, bachelor's-to-master's articulation programs, and research cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy. He hope that both sides would establish a periodic and effective communication mechanism to expedite project applications and implementation.

 

Vice Chancellor David Halliwell emphasized that Deakin University equally values its partnership with NCUT and hopes to develop more collaborative projects beneficial to faculty and students of both universities. He noted that this meeting enhanced mutual understanding and that he would work with the university administration and relevant schools to further advance project implementation upon his return. During the talks, both sides engaged in thorough discussions on key issues related to the cooperative 4+0 program.

 

After the meeting, the delegation visited Brunel London School with faculty members. Representatives from School of Civil Engineering, Brunel London School, School of Energy Storage Science and Engineering, the Office of International Affairs, and International School of our university attended the meeting.
