On April 22, Zuo Wei, Vice President of Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, led a delegation to visit the University for discussions on Sino-foreign cooperative education and the cultivation and management of international students. Chen Qun, Vice President of the University, warmly received the delegation.
Chen Qun welcomed the visit and noted that, as two newly established universities in Yanqing District, both institutions have strong potential to deepen collaboration and resource sharing in support of high-quality development of education in the capital. He emphasized that the University has consistently pursued an open education strategy, prioritizing internationalization as a key driver for innovative talent cultivation and enhanced global competitiveness. He also introduced the University’s overall framework and progress in Sino-foreign cooperative education, as well as its practices in international student recruitment, education, and management.
Yang Jianwei expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the University’s recent achievements in campus development, academic programs, and internationalization. He also shared an overview of international exchange initiatives at Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, and expressed expectations for closer cooperation in campus development, resource sharing, and management practices at the Yanqing campus.
During the discussion session, both sides held in-depth exchanges on Sino-foreign cooperative education and international student cultivation and management. Key topics included internationalization strategies, faculty and student mobility, international student recruitment and integrated management, as well as the application and operation of joint education programs. Both universities expressed their intention to further strengthen collaboration, expand areas of cooperation, and achieve mutual development.
Representatives from relevant offices of both universities, including those responsible for international affairs, Brunel London School, and finance, attended the meeting.
