On June 18, the closing ceremony of the “Future Elites: Study in Beijing” Special Training Program for Uzbekistan students was held in Room 506 of Guangxue Building at NCUT. Chen Qun, Vice President of NCUT, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks.

Chen Qun extended warm congratulations to all the Uzbek students who completed the program. He noted that the five-day program was intensive and meaningful, offering participants opportunities to learn about Beijing’s international education system through university visits, policy briefings on studying in China, traditional cultural experiences, and visits to major city landmarks. He said that Beijing, as China’s national political, cultural, international exchange, and scientific and technological innovation center, offers unique advantages for young people seeking academic development. Chen encouraged the students to cherish their experience in Beijing, serve as ambassadors of cultural exchange between China and Uzbekistan, and consider returning to Beijing for future study.

All participants took the stage to share their reflections on the program. They spoke about their experiences in Beijing, the universities they visited, and the impressions they gained from the city’s academic environment and cultural heritage. Some students said they were deeply impressed by the warm reception, well-designed schedule, and opportunities to visit leading universities in Beijing. They noted that the campuses, facilities, learning environment, and city culture had broadened their horizons and strengthened their interest in pursuing further study in Beijing. Several students described the program not only as a study visit, but also as an important turning point in their academic journey.

Chen Qun presented certificates of honor to the Uzbek teachers leading the group and awarded completion certificates to all participants, extending his best wishes to the teachers and students who successfully completed the program.

Looking ahead, NCUT will continue to build platforms for mutual learning and exchange between Chinese and international youth through various international training and exchange programs. The University will further expand educational cooperation channels, attract more young people from overseas to study in Beijing, and strengthen friendship between China and other countries through education.
