In the afternoon of March 22nd, Mr. Zhang Bo, director of the University of the Arts London(UAL) Beijing representative Office visited NCUT. Wang Jianwen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC North China University of Technology Committee, Vice President met with the guests in Room 322, Dunpin Building.

Wang Jianwen welcomed the guests, introduced the characteristics of our university and the situation of international cooperation and exchanges, and expressed his hope to carry out inter-school exchanges with UAL. Based on the current exchange programs in architecture, design, and digital media, We will further explore ways of cooperation and exchange for double degree and postgraduate exchange programs, and implement overseas study programs in more professional fields such as industrial design and big data, providing students with better international exchange platform.

Zhang Bo introduced the current situation of UAL, looking forward to working together with NCUT in teaching and applied study of the technologies such as AI, big data, block chain, 5G, brain computer interface, virtual and augmented reality in the fields of art, design, fashion, media, and others in the future. He also hoped to jointly cultivate interdisciplinary international talents through student exchange program and joint Ph.D program, etc.

Then the guests had in-depth discussions with the heads of the School of Information Science and Technology, School of Architecture and Art, and Brunel London School on issues such as interdisciplinary disciplines building,  student exchange programs, and post graduate studies.
