On May 24th, the vice president of Brunel University London Zhao Hua visited NCUT. Zhang Lifeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC North China University of Technology Committee and President of NCUT, Wang Jianwen, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC North China University of Technology Committee, Vice President of NCUT met with the guests, discussing the future cooperation plan between the two universities.
Zhang lifeng warmly welcomed professor Zhaohua and thanked Professor Zhao for his contributions to the development of Brunnel London School. Zhang Lifeng stated that with the close cooperation between our universities, the mechanism for teaching and talent cultivation has been steadily improved, and the quality of the talent cultivation has been on the rise. He hopes that the two universities could take advantage of advantageous disciplines and characteristic majors, and conscientiously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in the construction of the higher-education quality supervision system, joint cultivation of postgraduate students, comprehensive sci-tech cooperation and etc.
According to Prof. Zhao, Brunel University London will continue to select outstanding teaching and research faculties to engage in the teaching work of Brunel London School and hold Sci-tech forums for the teachers of our two universities, which will serve as a bridge for academic cooperation between them, facilitating the talents cultivation and sci-tech cooperation.
Prof. Zhao Hua also held discussions with the leaderships, representatives of the teachers and students of Brunel London School, School of mechanical and Materials engineering. He encouraged young teachers to actively establish partnership with scholars from well-known universities, remain attentive to the academic frontier, focusing on the key areas of the basic sciences of application prospect. He also introduced the current development of Brunel University London and answered students’ questions regarding life and study patiently, providing guidance and suggestions to the students interested in studying at Brunel University London or other universities abroad.
Prof. Zhao Hua visited the”North. Sailing”scientific and technological achievement exhibition and the Innovation Practice Base for University Students after the meeting.
