On June 6, the award ceremony of the "Bozhou Cup" 2025 International Youth Talent Selection Competition for Foreign Cultural Trade was held at Zhejiang University of Technology, co-hosted by the Cultural Communication Center of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and Chinese Language Teaching Press. Our university achieved outstanding results in this selection: Students Liu Deqing (Indonesia) and Fu Bo (Côte d'Ivoire) won the Cultural Communication Vitality Award, while students including Tokushima Asuka (Japan), Kamara (Gambia), Seo Eun-hee (South Korea), and Hassan (Nigeria) received the Cultural Mutual Learning Friendship Award. Teachers Liu Yan, Wu Wei, Ji Yijing, and Liu Liping from the School of International Education were awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award, and our university was concurrently honored with the Excellent Institutional Organization Award.
Launched in January 2025, the Competition gained full support from numerous domestic institutions and attracted extensive attention and enthusiastic participation from international students. Over 500 international students from nearly 100 countries registered actively. Meanwhile, the 2025 International Youth Talent Industry-Education Integration Forum and International Youth Talent Supply-Demand Matching Meeting were successfully held. After layers of evaluation, the Competition awarded 32 Excellent Institutional Organization Awards, 29 Cultural Mutual Learning Friendship Awards, 30 Cultural Communication Vitality Awards, 21 Cultural Promotion Contribution Awards, and 4 Cultural Promotion Excellence Awards.
Our university continues to advance the brand construction of "Study at NCUT," committed to cultivating international talents who understand and befriend China. It has established multiple bachelor's and master's programs taught entirely in English and summer school projects integrating advantageous disciplinary features, which are widely welcomed by overseas partner institutions and international students. Our university attaches importance to national conditions education and practical ability cultivation for international students, offering courses such as Outline of China and Understanding Contemporary China, as well as a series of practical courses. Through immersive experiences, it enhances international students' comprehensive understanding of Chinese excellent traditional culture and modern Chinese society.
International students actively participate in spreading Chinese traditional culture, cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and activities of "telling China's stories well," demonstrating outstanding performance in various social practices and competitions and fully showcasing the demeanor of NCUT international students.
