
On the morning of June 11, North China University of Technology held a symposium for its 2025 graduating class in Room 104 of the Guangxue Building. Liu Jun, Secretary of the CPC North China University of Technology Committee, engaged in heartfelt discussions with 12 student representatives, reflecting on their growth, envisioning the future, and offering words of encouragement. Shi Zhenjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC North China University of Technology Committee, presided over the event.
Liu Jun extended his congratulations to the soon-to-be graduates, emphasizing that university education goes beyond knowledge acquisition to cultivate well-rounded individuals. He highlighted our university’s remarkable achievements in talent development, disciplinary advancement, and scientific innovation, attributing these successes to the active participation and contributions of every student. Liu urged the graduates to embrace the qualities of "confidence, self-reliance, and perseverance," transforming the belief of "I can, I will strive" into a driving force to courageously face future challenges. He encouraged them to uphold the values of "kindness, truth, and progress," balancing personal growth with social responsibility and service to national development. Additionally, he stressed the importance of lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement through practical experience. Liu affirmed that the bond between alumni and alma mater is lifelong, assuring graduates that NCUT will always remain their spiritual home and steadfast support. He warmly invited them to return often and continue supporting the university’s growth.
Shi Zhenjun encouraged the graduates to live by NCUT’s motto, “Cultivate Morality, Encourage Learning, Combine Talent with Virtue,” and its ethos of “Solemn, Strict, Rigorous” translating their academic learning into tangible contributions to society. He also extended an invitation for the class of 2025 to return in 2026 for the university’s 80th anniversary celebrations, marking a new chapter in the school’s history.
During the symposium, faculty and students engaged in sincere and profound exchanges. Graduating representatives shared their experiences in academic studies, research, volunteer work, and military service, expressing gratitude for the nurturing environment, the guidance of their mentors, the camaraderie of peers, and their aspirations for the future. They also offered constructive suggestions on curriculum, practical training, and campus management, demonstrating their sense of responsibility as young scholars committed to our university’s development. The attendees pledged to uphold the university’s spirit, striving for excellence in their future endeavors and contributing to the modernization of China.
Representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, University Youth League Committee, Security and Stability Office, and Logistics and Infrastructure Office, along with campus security staff, cafeteria workers, and dormitory administrators, attended the symposium.
